Treatment
Dental services in Oakhurst.
Most dental care comes down to two things: preventing problems and rebuilding teeth that have already been damaged. We do both here, and the pages below explain what each treatment involves, when it helps, what the trade-offs are, and what usually happens if treatment waits. If you're in pain right now, start with dental emergencies or call us at (559) 683-4694.

Sleep Apnea Treatment
If a physician has diagnosed obstructive sleep apnea and CPAP is difficult to tolerate, a custom oral appliance is a recognized alternative to ask about.

Orthodontics
Crowded or shifted teeth can be harder to clean and can wear unevenly, so alignment is a health question as well as a cosmetic one.

How we decide
How we make treatment decisions together.
There's often more than one reasonable way to treat a tooth. The right choice depends on how much healthy structure remains, the forces your bite places on the tooth, what you can maintain at home, and your own preferences.
-
Diagnosis before treatment
We start by finding the cause of the problem. That takes an examination, images, and in many cases tests of the nerve inside the tooth.
-
Stabilize before rebuilding
We treat active decay and gum disease before cosmetic or complex work begins, because restorative work placed over active disease tends to fail early.
-
Keep as much tooth as possible
Enamel doesn't grow back. When a smaller restoration will last, that's what we recommend, and when it won't, we'll explain the reasons and the alternatives.
-
Explanation before decisions
We'll go over what we found, what your options are, what each one costs, and what usually happens without treatment. The decision is yours, and when a case is better suited to a specialist's training, we'll recommend a referral.
We'd be glad to see you.
